Summer break fun at Sew Train Studio

Registration for our 2026 specialty summer sewing camp is now open.  For the Summer season we've added a two-week sewing and crochet camp session, which ensures each camper to have a greater experience of building friendships, completing more projects, and having tons of fun.  The two week sessions also enables our campers to work at their own pace and not have to rush through the learning process. The beginner projects that each camper will learn throughout their time spent in sewing/ crocheting camp, will have them interested and excited about sewing which will last them a lifetime.  In all of the camp sessions, campers will work on projects that will build skills in using and controlling the sewing machine.  Summer Break Sewing and Crochet Camp is a fun-filled 5 week camp, where campers ages 7- 17   learn how to sew, do alterations, and develop their fashion creativity skills.  Our returning campers will continue to build and develop new skills as they participate in the more advanced  lessons. Crochet campers will learn how to properly hold a a crochet hook and yarn, how to safely use crochet supplies, basic crochet stitches, and much more.  Campers can participate in learning both skills.

Session 1: 10 day sewing/crochet camp (June 1st - June 12th)

Session 2: 10 day sewing/crochet camp (July 6th - 17th)

Session 3: 5 day sewing/ crochet camp (July 20th - 24th)

(All campers will participate in the September fashion show).

Summer Sewing Camp Fees: Returning campers- Full Day Camp $550.00 for each 2 week session. Returning campers - Half Day Camp $275.00 for each 2 week session.

New campers- Full Day $600.00 for each 2 week session.   Half Day Camp $300.00 for each 2 week session.  

(Cash App, Cash, Zelle, or a Check)  We do not accept credit cards.

Deposit : $100.00 secures child's spot in camp and the balance is due two weeks before each camp session begins.  

Sewing machines, sergers, crochet hooks, yarn, thread, fabric, irons, sewing & crochet patterns, measuring tools, beads, buttons, zippers, and all other supplies are provided. Campers are welcome to bring their own sewing machine, fabric, and yarn. 

Full day campers must bring lunch, snacks, and plenty of water. We take community walks before lunch daily so camper should wear comfortable shoes/sneakers.  

Half day campers should bring snacks and water. All campers should bring their library card if they want to check out books from the library.  (We will visit twice per week).  To participate in the Summer Reading Challenge.

Every Summer we provide sewing & crochet camp scholarships to low-income youth, from our community. Each eligible camper receives a one week scholarship to the sewing camp.
